Welcome to Addition Skills. The Addition Skills app provides teachers and parents with an educational tool for teaching a standard problem solving method for adding numbers between 0 and 999. The skills needed to add large numbers are developed incrementally using a sound educational approach.

The app uses an active learning approach. Students slide number tiles in order to find the answer to an addition problem. Based on Common Core Standards, Addition Skills gives kids the power to use their iPads to learn an algorithm that they will use for their entire lives.

Addition Skills includes a complete curriculum that provides teachers with lesson ideas and a variety of projects.

Teachers can select the appropriate level for their students by tapping the settings button and using the slider to specify a set of objective. The options are based on the Common Core Standards.

As students work with this educational app they will improve and strengthen their math skills.

Using Addition Skills provides an open-ended exploratory environment for learning with a structured common core standards-based quiz to measure progress:

• Select 1 of 13 objectives from the Common Core Standards
• Use a manipulative approach to define answer to randomly generated quiz questions.
• Monitor student's progress with a scoreboard and detailed report.

By using the app students will be better able to:

• Add numbers from 0 to 1000 accurately.
• Regroup in the 1's, 10's, and 100's place.

Students can use the Addition Skills playground to learn how to add numbers between 0 and 999. By moving number tiles to a grid, students learn place value see how regrouping works.
