Fighting Serpents, also known as Kolowis Awithlaknannai, is associated with the Zuni people of New Mexico. The game is played on a distinctive board of connected lines and triangles, with the opposing pieces arranged like two serpents facing one another.

Players take turns moving their pieces along the board and jumping over opposing pieces to capture them. A single move may create an opportunity for additional jumps, allowing a player to capture several pieces in one turn. Careful planning is essential: every move can open a path to victory—or leave one of your own pieces vulnerable.
