Ventura Educational Systems Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for iOS apps developed and published by Ventura Educational Systems. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by our iOS apps during normal usage.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

No personal information is collected, stored or transmitted from any of our iOS apps. We do not use any third party analytics to monitor app usage. In some of the apps where individual performance scores are recorded, these records are only stored using internal memory on the individual users' personal device. NO DATA is shared. NO DATA about usage is collected by developer. We do not have access to or collect any data from the user while the app is being used. In apps where scoring occurs the scores are stored locally on the device and are not transmitted. Regarding records from the sale, since all sales are handled through Apple’s App Store Ventura Educational Systems does not have any records of individual transactions.  The only information Ventura Educational Systems gets from Apple is how many apps have been sold and in which countries the sales took place.  We do not sell apps directly and therefore have no information about who is using the app unless we are contacted by the end user. Ventura Educational Systems does not have records of individual sales from the school or IT administrator since sales are made solely through Apple Computer.

No Advertising

Our apps are designed for classroom use and we feel it would be inappropriate to have any advertisements in the app.

Student/Teacher/Parent Access to and Control Over Performance Records

Some of our apps keep records of individual student scores while the app is being used. By tapping a scoreboard icon the student, teacher or parent can view the performance record. This data can be erased by tapping an eraser icon. The purpose for the scoreboard screen is to :

   • Help assess the student's strengths and weaknesses.

   • Help the user decide to change/correct the instructional level selected in the app.

   • Help students self-evaluate their instructional needs.

   • Help teachers and parents better plan lessons.

Security

The scores that students get when taking the quizzes that are a part of our apps are only stored locally. Anyone who has access to the device can see the information unless it has been erased. Once the records are erased by the user, they are no longer accessible.

Updates

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
