Practice Common Core Math Skills with the Exciting Interactive Game

Specially Designed For Apple TV

The Math Aquarium provides practice in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Twenty different levels of problems can be selected. The levels are keyed to the Common Core Standards and are identified by standard numbers. Within each of the levels problems are randomly generated so every game is a unique experience.

The game begins after the player selects a math skill and number of problems (10,25, 50 or 100).

This app is appropriate for elementary age students who are in grades 3 through 6 or older students who need more practice to improve math skills.

A Fun Way for Elementary Students to Practice Math Skills

Select the Level and Number of Problems for Each Game

Tap the settings icon and use a slider to select an appropriate level for the game. Once the skill level has been selected the players tap the 'OK' button to indicate that they are ready to begin. Randomly generated math problems flash on the screen at the selected level. The student directs their clown fish or submarine toward the correct answer by tapping the screen.

Play continues until the student completes the specified number of problems for each level.

This game is challenging and fun. The game provides fast action as students tap the screen to lead their clown fish or submarine to the correct answer to randomly generated math problems.

Level 1: Coral Reef Scene

Any of the 20 Skills (based on Common Core Standards) can be practiced in any of the scenes. This scene has been set up for Numbers and Operations in Base Ten - Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900.

Number Range: Integers from 10 to 100 and 100 to 900

Common Core Standard: 2.NBT.8.

Scene 2: Submarine Adventure

At this level skill 10 has be set up for the student to practice. The object is to guide the submarine to the correct answer.

The Common Core Standard selected is Numbers and Operations in Base Ten - Subtract multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 from multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 (positive or zero differences).

Number Range: Integers from 10 to 90

Common Core Standard: 1.NBT.6

Scene 3: Castles

These scene shows problems from skill 18. Operations and Algebraic Thinking - Use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions, and evaluate expressions with these symbols.

Number Range: Integers 1 to 10

Common Core Standard: 5.OA.A.1.
