In addition, the CD-ROM features dozens of ancillary activities,
such as educational games, puzzles, and classroom projects. The

Forming the
plurals of English singular nouns represents yet another case
in which our fascinating language displays great diversity, if
not always ease. This full-color, narrated program presents general
guidelines to help in the formation and spelling of the various
plural forms. With a little study, users will find that plural
forms can be easy to handle. The activities features numerous
games such as Noah and Yes-Ah which lets the user fill the ark
by turning each animal into a pair of animals. An Apple a Day
requires the user to pull apples from a tree and place each into
the proper bushel basket in order to earn points. Other activities
ask users to seek-and-find singular nouns, and create the plural
forms of many common foods. The resources section contains information
that can be printed and saved. A Summary Fact Sheet contains a
comprehensive review of the rules used to create plurals. The
list of Words to Remember shows words grouped by specific rule.
A self-testing section enables learners to gauge their own progress,
and the Teacher section contains a comprehensive Teacher Guide
that parents and teachers will find invaluable.

This full-color,
narrated program is aimed at developing correct spelling habits
through general advice and some specific rules of the "i
before e" variety. We can't make spelling easy -- no one
can do that with our wonderful, yet awkward, language -- but it
will, through famous quotations and animated visuals, bring interest
and appeal to the topic. The activities section features numerous
games such as Dear, Deer Me!, which lets the user complete puzzles
to uncover various homonyms, homophones, and homographs. Sit for
a Spell requires the student to catch the correctly spelled words
as they fall from the sky.
Other activities
ask users to spell the names of all the United States and to correctly
spell weather-related terms. Play alone, or with others, in trying
to attain the highest score in Spell Bound. Spellers of all ages
will be challenged by these fast paced activities. The resources
section contains a comprehensive review of the rules of spelling,
a list of commonly misspelled words, a self-testing section which
enables learners to gauge progress, and a comprehensive Teacher
Guide.
