It seems that everywhere you look these days you hear about a new application
for computer technology. The speed at which computers have entangled themselves
in every aspect of our lives is mind-boggling. A student's ability to
understand technology is fundamental to success in the new millenium.
This product includes
an interesting series of lessons which are designed to give students
a historical perspective on computers and to acquaint them with essential
information about large and small computer systems. Students are challenged
by a comprehension check when each lesson is completed. In addition,
a collection of games and activities helps students build their computer
science vocabulary. Each topic is studied by examining a graphic shown
in a diagram and then reading a paragraph about the significance of
each item.
