Supplementary Games and Activities:
  • Journal: A mini-word processor that lets young learning compose their own thoughts as they practice keyboarding skill. Importable graphics and plenty of font, color, and style options encourage creativity.
  • Classroom Reward Pack: A delightful set
    of stickers to help motivate kids to do their best.
  • QuickTime Movies: 16 movies, one for each lesson, feature student demonstration of proper key reach and technique.
  • Arcade Games: Learners can choose from eight arcade games. Students earn game-playing time by accurately and quickly keying lesson lines. Games include a race car game PAWS 500 race game; a basketball game, Slam Dunk; a space game, Alpha Invaders; and five others.

Presenting PAWS Jr!
PAWS Jr. is a color-coded typing program for children who find themselves using computers. This program is designed to teach children the correct usage of the keyboard instead of them having to “hunt” for the right key and then “peck” it anyway they can. The PAWS Jr. 36-lesson typing awareness system combines bright, color-coded handbands and key stickers with a larger letter computer screen display for effective instruction for younger children.
PAWS Jr. is designed to build keyboarding awareness and computer skills in younger students. Key Mates includes color key stickers and corresponding color finger guides. The unique visual finger-to-key guidance lets students type correct keys with detracting from their concentration on the material they are keying.
